March 1, 2012 - GMRE News Release

Mr. Bret Wyont, Co-Owner of Archer Technologies International, Inc., a Native American, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone-certified Small Business, with offices in Shawnee, Oklahoma and Taylor, Utah, attends the Gauss Management Research and Engineering (GMRE) kick off meeting after their award of the U. S. Air Force Design and Engineering Support Program III (DESP III) contract.

Gauss Management Research and Engineering is one of the Small Business prime contract awardees selected by the US Air Force. Archer Technologies International Inc. was chosen and has been a team mate to the GMRE during the bid/proposal efforts leading to the successful award of this contract. Archer Technologies International Inc., provided their corporate past performance, approved labor rates, and technical capabilities to include in the GMRE proposal package submitted to the government for source selection and award of this contract. With a ceiling of $1.9 billion, DESP III is a five-year, multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract vehicle available for use within the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), the Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and other government agencies. DESP III is a task ordering contract that was created to provide engineering and high-level technical services in support of all Air Force weapon systems, components, and support equipment. The scope of contract covers technology insertion, reliability and maintainability, deployability improvements, environmental and safety compliance, improvement of depot repair processes, and development of information management systems and process models.

DESP III task orders may encompass a broad range of engineering-related tasks such as concept exploration, tradeoff studies, systems analysis and specification development, systems design, prototype manufacturing, system integration, testing, modeling, and simulation, and engineering and technical documentation. Although the DESP III contract has been specifically established for use within AFMC, this dynamic contract vehicle may be used by all other Air Force commands, DoD agencies (e.g., Army, Navy, Marines), and other ALC-Sponsored government entities (e.g., NASA, DOE, DOT, DOS, EPA, OSHA) having similar systems and/or needs. Functional areas of scope allowed on the DESP III include: Studies; Environmental, Health, and Safety Support; Technology Insertion; Field Representation; Prototype/Pre-production Development, Build, Test, and Evaluation; Hardware and Software Fabrication; Documentation; Training; Engineering Services; Logistics Support; Source Qualification; Test and Evaluation; Producibility; and Installation.
